ScotlandGroup Burns Dinner 2011 Singing

No - this isn't going to be about how the cooking group left all the food on too long and burnt all our haggis. It was our first Burns Dinner to celebrate our national poet. What a fantastic do. We had the 'Selkirk Grace' and the haggis piped in with a swirl and lots of clapping and whooping of excitement especially during the address to the haggis. After eating our haggis wi' bashit neeps an' champit tatties the entertainment was beyond brilliant, the recital of Tam O'Shanter and the singing of Ae Fond Kiss in particular. For me, seeing everybody really joining in and looking happy and well fed made up for the lack of a wee nip, but never mind - next year might be different.
