Pub Games 2008   

As well as a lovely walk up past the harbour with plenty of opportunities to chuck and skim stanes (7 skips is the record), the Pub Games group discuss the tactics for the upcoming games. We are getting on for our third competitive year of Pool, Darts and Dominoes League that takes place in the Legion. We have individual medals and a cup for each sport and a cup for the overall champion. We like the social and relaxed atmosphere although beneath the surface our competitive spirit rages at times. Some are old hands now and have participated from the start. The new hands are a welcome addition to the squad. The games help us to practice and develop our physical dexterity and our mental skills through aiming and throwing and adding and subtracting.
